Our phones should not:
Constantly monitor our location
Restrict the apps/operating systems that can be used on them
Be surveilled by any corporation or government
Do as much as they do
Our phones should:
Be ours
Be repairable
Last at least 4-6 years
Be customizable, both in hardware and software
Retain as much personally identifiable information onboard the device as is feasible
Teach us about themselves
